Privacy Policy
This Policy describes how SlateHut handles information when you use our service. For questions: team@slatehut.com
Who we are
SlateHut (“we”, “us”) operates the SlateHut website and service that lets you build and publish sites. Contact: team@slatehut.com.
Information we collect
Account data: email, name, and password hash when you register. Site content: text, images, and configuration you add to your sites. Form submissions: data visitors submit through forms on your published sites, stored for access in your dashboard. Technical data: logs, IP address, browser type, and cookies needed for security, sessions, and analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights where enabled).
How we use information
To provide and improve the Service, authenticate you, deliver pages and assets, process form submissions for your account, detect abuse, comply with law, and communicate about the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, improvement, fraud prevention), and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies).
Sharing
We use infrastructure and subprocessors (e.g. hosting, database, storage, analytics) to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate agreements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention
We keep account and site data while your account is active and as needed afterward for legal, security, or backup reasons. Form submissions remain until you delete them or delete the site. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal retention needs.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object or restrict certain processing. Contact team@slatehut.com to exercise these rights. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required.
Changes
We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
